France Inter: Daphné Bürki will join the morning show with her “New Faces”

The game of musical chairs continues in the round house. We learned this Friday, July 18, that presenter Daphné Bürki is also joining France Inter starting August 25, taking the slot previously occupied by Mathilde Serrell at 9:50 a.m., entitled Nouvelles têtes, which consists of interviewing rising figures in the world of culture from Monday to Thursday.
"She is a great professional who knows radio and public broadcasting well and who is especially committed to defending culture in all its forms, by giving everyone the desire to take an interest in it," said France Inter director Adèle Van Reeth in a press release.
At 45, Daphné Bürki recently stood out for having been the "styling and costume" director for the four opening and closing ceremonies of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. She also participated in the televised evening on France 2 as a host and commentator. She is also known as a judge on the show Drag Race France on France 2, and since 2021 she has co-presented with Raphäl Yem a cultural show, renamed Culturebox, le show , on France 4, which will not be renewed at the start of the school year, according to France Télévisions.
The presenter had already briefly appeared on the radio. This was during the 2017-2018 season on Europe 1, where she was in charge of the show Bonjour la France.
The arrival of Daphné Bürki at France Inter is a new piece of the summer game at the station . Léa Salamé will replace Anne-Sophie Lapix at the 8 p.m. news on France 2, and will herself be replaced in the big interview on the France Inter morning show by Benjamin Duhamel, stolen from BFMTV.
As for Sonia Devillers, she will be Nicolas Demorand's new partner as host. For the 7:55 a.m. comedy segment, also part of the public radio morning show, Bertrand Chameroy from C à Vous takes over from comedian Matthieu Denoël. For the press review, Nora Hamadi from France Culture takes over from Claude Askolovitch.
